How does the oil additive benefit the feed?
The addition of the oil additive to your premier alfalfa assists in mitigating dust emissions and therefore shrink. Additionally, nutritional and energy values are gained due to the additional crude fat of the oil.
How does the oil additive compare to the water additive?
Water as an additive evaporates causing shrink where as the oil additive will not evaporate. Additionally, excessive amounts of water can promote the growth of molds, mycotoxins, and spoiling of the product.

Once my field is harvested, what does Alfagreen Supreme do with it?
At the Alfagreen Supreme processing locations, the harvested alfalfa is dehydrated, ground into meal and processed into pellets. This rapid drying process preserves the nutrients in the alfalfa and reduces the solubility of protein. After processing, the pellets are cooled and transferred to large storage bins where additional aeration takes place. Temperature monitoring is constantly conducted to guarantee consistent quality and high crude protein. After sufficient cooling, the pellets are ready for shipment. Laboratory analysis is conducted during processing, storage and shipment to ensure that customer product quality specifications are met. Alfalfa pellets and chunks are blended to your specifications in truckload, railcar, barge load and shipload quantities.
